A few years ago, I mailed my Grandparents a disposable camera and asked them if they could take pictures of the things in their lives that they enjoyed. I wanted to get to know them better. Being the people they are, they couldn't be bothered. Later, I learned that since the camera came wrapped in silver protective paper, Grandma thought it was a bit of fruitcake and stuck it in the freezer. So much for trying.
But it occured to me today that if I thought it might be interesting to see why brought little joy into someone else's life, other people might feel the same. So I'm going to start taking pictures of the things that bring me happiness, no matter how small. I'll post them here as my "little joys."
We all spend so much time wrapped up in our daily hassles that I think we forget that we can slow down and breathe for a minute. We can find something to love, every day. Here's to remembering that.

"Grandma thought it was a bit of fruitcake and stuck it in the freezer." hahahaha! Seriously, that's hilarious. *Something's* a bit of fruitcake. ;)
Yeah. I wondered why they never bothered, then on a visit I found the camera in her deep freeze. When I asked why the hell it was there, well, fruitcake. I had to unwrap it before she believed it was a camera.
